COVID 19 & SUMMER 2020

We are very much looking forward to welcoming back our customers this summer but, due to Covid 19, we will be doing things a little differently this year.  We have a rigorous Covid 19 risk assessment and operating procedures in place to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. We will be taking the following measures:

  • All hires must be booked in advance with terms and conditions of hire to be signed online.

  • You will need to confirm that you or anyone in your booking are not showing any signs or symptoms of Covid 19 and have not had any known contact with persons with Covid 19 or any person showing signs or symptoms within the previous two weeks.

  • Bookings are for half day, day or longer periods only.  We are only using Zones One and Two for kayaking,  Zone Four is for SUP hires.

  • There will be no in person payments, all payments to be made by BACS.

  • We will be staggering hire times so there is only one customer or hire group on the beach at any time, return times will also be staggered.

  • Your booking will be for members of your household or up to five people from separate households only.

  • We will not be providing waterproof phone cases or waterproof bags for hire. We cannot offer anywhere to store personal belongings while you are out on the water. So please arrive changed and ready to go.

  • Please maintain social distancing at all times.

  • Use a face mask when collecting and returning equipment but not when out on the water.

  • Please cancel your booking if any of your household have symptoms of coronavirus.

  • Your kayak or SUP, paddle, buoyancy aid, seat and whistle will have been cleaned with antibacterial solution prior to your arrival.

  • Each piece of equipment will only be hired out once during the day and all equipment will be sprayed with antibacterial cleaning solution after use.

  • After your safety briefing you will be responsible for taking your hire equipment and paddles to the water for launching.

  • On your return you will bring your hire equipment back up the beach.  You will place buoyancy aids, seats and whistles in a cleaning bin of antibacterial solution. If you return before your allocated finish time you may need to wait until the area around the cleaning bin is not in use.

  • Use hand sanitiser before and after your hire.
